Polyisobutylene(PIB) is the main raw material in the production of lubricant ashless dispersants and fuel (gasoline) detergency additives.

Polyisobutylene is also a viscosity index improver with excellent shear stability and thermal stability in lubricants. Widely used in gear oil, two-stroke oil (the 2-stroke engine used for motorcycles, lawnmowers, etc.), metal working fluid (stretching oil, cutting oil, and quenching oil, etc.)
