Introduction

T501 (Butylated Hydroxytoluene) is an alkylated phenol industrially used as an antioxidant. It is white crystalline, without odor, easily soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, esters, alkanes, and aromatics, and is almost insoluble in water. It has good anti-oxidation performance at the working temperature under 100ºC.
