Introduction of Basic Barium Dinonylnaphthalene Sulfonate
Basic barium dinonylnaphthalen sulfonate (Chorus Ba-29B) is a versatile oil-soluble anti-rust additive used in rust preventive formulations.
It has excellent anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties for ferrous metals.
It has good oil-soluble stability and excellent demulsibility.
It has an alkalinity reserve in the form of barium hydroxid Ba(OH)2 with a base value of approximately 45mgKOH/g to neutralize acidic components in lubricant oil.
Chorus Ba-29B has a base value from barium hydroxid, which can result in slight corrosion to copper and some nonferrous metals.
In some extreme-pressure oil formulations, Chorus Ba-29B may slightly affect the oil's extreme-pressure performance.
Application of Basic Barium Dinonylnaphthalene Sulfonate
Rust and corrosion inhibitor for various mineral oils, synthetic oil and grease.
