Product Description

 

Stearic acid is also called octadecanoic acid. It is a white soft flake with a gloss. It is slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in alcohol and acetone, and easily soluble in benzene, chloroform, ether, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, amyl acetate and toluene.

Application
Stearic acid is a fatty acid widely found in nature. Almost all oils and fats contain stearic acid in varying amounts. In addition to being used as an emulsifier for oil-based drilling fluids, it is also used as a vulcanization activator for natural rubber, synthetic rubber (except butyl rubber) and latex, and is also used as a raw material for plasticizers and stabilizers for plastics. 
It is used to make cosmetics, candles, waterproofing agents, polishes, etc. This product is used as a lubricant, defoamer and raw material for food additives such as stearic acid glyceryl ester, stearic acid sorbitan ester, and sucrose ester in the food industry.
