Highly active polyisobutylene (PIB-2300) is mainly used in the production of ashless dispersants, additives for flushing the fuel system of a gasoline engine, and anticorrosion agents.

Polyisobutylenes(PIB) are suitable for wide range of applications such as greases, oil thickeners, gear oils, hydraulic oils, compressor oils and even metalworking fluids. This range is well appreciated for its 'clean" nature as it doesn't leave any residue post volatilization or thermal decomposition.
PIB-2300 have increased reactivity, the ability to directly fall into the functional group, it is also used for the manufacture of ashless dispersant, additives for flushing the fuel system of a gasoline engine.
